About the Opportunity

We provide outsourced legal solutions to a range of domestic and international clients including government bodies, global technology companies and pillar banks.
Johnson Hana is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Litigation Associate for an upcoming project with a large tech company. This project will be 12 months in length and we can offer fulltime hours and it will be onsite in their Dublin offices.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Enforcement:
Work within the Litigation function, specializing in regulatory enforcement.
Collaborate closely with privacy regulators, with a primary focus on the Irish Data Protection Commission.
Develop and implement strategies to address regulatory challenges and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Provide support on regulatory matters, including data protection and privacy issues.
Statutory Inquiry Work and Regulatory Engagements:
Conduct comprehensive statutory inquiries to ensure adherence to legal standards and regulatory requirements.
Engage with various regulatory bodies and stakeholders to represent the company's interests.
Prepare and present findings from statutory inquiries to senior management and regulatory authorities.
Collaboration with DSA Team:
Collaborate with the contentious Digital Services Act (DSA) team to navigate the legal complexities of the DSA.
Provide insights and support on cases involving digital services and platforms, particularly those impacting data privacy and user protection.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align litigation efforts with broader business objectives.
Skills & Experience
Litigation Background:
Strong background in litigation, with a preference for experience in financial services enforcement.
Proven track record of managing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
Privacy and Internet Laws:
In-depth understanding of privacy and Internet laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Familiarity with the legal challenges and regulatory landscape related to data protection, digital services, and online platforms.
