Job Summary

Johnson Hana is seeking to hire Legal Consultants with financial services, funds & asset management experience within the legal industry. We have upcoming projects with multiple international companies. These projects will range from 6-14 months in length and there is a strong potential for the projects to be extended beyond this timeframe. These projects are on a contract basis ranging between 20-40 hours per week and will be a remote/hybrid working model.

Project Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with external legal counsel to ensure legal compliance and efficiency in deal execution.
  • Draft and review finance documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal support on banking transactions, including loans, lending, credit, custody, and private banking.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and deal structuring.
  • Participate in negotiations with counterparties and stakeholders to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Contribute to internal projects within the broader Legal team.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-7 years of post-qualification experience in financial services, funds or asset management.
  • Exceptional organizational, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, coupled with the ability to provide clear and practical solutions.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage expectations effectively.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments to ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative, confidently assuming ownership of matters and self-development.
  • A collaborative team player willing to assist colleagues and share workload.
